There are 3 items everyone has to complete in order to become a DWC coach.
#1 is to fill out and complete the Background Check. Background check must be done every 2 years. Completion takes multiple days to be processed.
#2 complete the Safe Sport Certification. After the 1st certification a refresher course has to be taken each year. Certification takes a couple hours to complete.
#3 is to fill out the USA Wrestling Leader Application on the usawmembership.com website and pay the $50. This has to be done each year. Cost subject to change without notice.
Coaches are required to complete a background check. Before issuing a current coaches' card, your club will require you to provide proof that you have passed the background check. The cost of the background check is new this year. Here are the instructions on what you need to do to complete your background check:
New coaches will need to go to https://www.usawmembership.com/login and create an account there (no cost to do that). Once their account is established, they will need to set up a profile, then complete their background check and Safe Sport certification from that account.
